Summer chore chart
Summer deletes the school-shaped day and with it the backpack row. If you do not replace the skeleton, screens will.
Use a later morning, a chore block before swimming, and weekend-weight jobs on Wednesdays if you want. Print a summer template; do not reuse January’s lunchbox row and wonder why they ignore it.

Camps days should have a shorter list. The chart can have a “camp day” column note.
- Pet care
- Kitchen lunch help
- Yard or sidewalk
- One shared-room tidy
- Then the pool / friends / camp
Questions parents ask
- Should allowance go up in summer?
- Only if the work goes up. More hours of home time is not automatically more labor — unless you assign it.
