Bathroom chore chart

Bathrooms are chemical-heavy and germ-heavy. Teach products like you teach the stove. Start with towels and counters.

A weekly bathroom assignment for tweens is one of the highest-leverage jobs in the house. Put products and a cloth in a caddy so they are not hunting under the sink.

Progression

Skip mixing bleach and anything. If you would not drink the combo, do not let a child invent it.

  • Hang towels (4+)
  • Replace toilet paper (5+)
  • Wipe sink and faucet (8+)
  • Mirror (7+)
  • Full bathroom with approved products (11+)
